HINT-HINT: MOTHER’S DAY GOLD

Hint Hint: Mother’s Day by alexandrarwf featuring a leather belt

Phew! Like everything lately, Mother’s Day has kind of snuck up on me. So I got to thinking, what would I want (and actually use) for Mother’s Day? And more importantly, can these things be purchased last minute (like, say, Saturday night)?

P.S. You know whats coming… my explanations behind these seemingly random wish list items!

0: Okay, heres the thing, I like to workout at home. Its much more comfortable getting my sweat on when I’m not worried about my muffin top being exposed, or whether my form is worthy of a magazine cover. But I do have a goal this summer, and that is to attend a sunrise yoga session at Red Rocks Amphitheater, and this yoga mat tote would be a perfect way to transport my gear!

1: I have been searching high and low for the perfect pair of mirrored sunnies, and owning these guys would put an end to my efforts.

2: I carry a lot of crap around. My lunchbox, my laptop, my wallet, an abundance of paperwork and business cards (with cards for the blog, and cards for the restaurant, I feel like Dolly Levy), pens and notepads, chargers, etc, etc, etc. So it goes without saying that I need a bag to contain it all. And who could say “no” to a gold leather bag?

3: There’s always one item on these wish lists that I end up buying before the post goes live, and these Nike Studio Wraps are the ones for today. Usually a barefoot exerciser, I found myself yearning for just a little extra support and traction without losing that natural barefoot feeling, and these shoes fit the bill perfectly! I highly recommend them!

4: I have been trying to incorporate a little more color into my wardrobe (mostly unsuccessfully), and turquoise has quickly become one of my favorites. This necklace would go perfectly with my growing collection of bohemian vintage jewelry, and add just a little punch to my otherwise mundane jeans and t-shirt uniform.

5: Guys, I have a confession. I cannot stop looking at home decor on Pinterest. It is a sickness, and I need to seek help. I have noticed, through hours of research, that my home lacks the small details of a perfectly staged house, and so things like decorative trays to catch sundry items have made their way onto my list.

6: I never drank coffee, preferring instead to drink soda after soda on the daily. In January I went cold turkey on the canned stuff, and ended up picking up a black coffee habit instead. Replacing one habit with another? Yes. But is it ultimately a better choice? Absolutely! Coffee is my friend, and that friend would look dandy (and stay warm) in this fancy tumbler.

7: There is one potential downfall to losing weight and inches, and that is no longer fitting into your favorite clothes. These high waisted jeans from American Eagle are the best, and I need a replacement pair, stat!

8: You know how they say that you should have to keep a plant alive before you enter a relationship? Well my ability to nurture vegetation doesn’t extend far past cacti. What does that say about my qualifications as a mother? And my kids would love the name of this “money tree”!

9: Stacks of rings are huge right now, and I find myself being drawn to statement rings. Especially statement rings to match the summer boho vibe I have been feeling lately.

10: So I had a little accident (the first of it’s kind in all the years I have been carrying a cell), and ended up needing to get a new phone. Having this beauty of a case by Dannijo would no doubt be the only thing I could ever afford from their lovely collections.
